Analysis of Pedestrian Recognition by the Vehicle Driver
Šlapal, David ; Kropáč, František (referee) ; Maxera, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with vehicle driver’s recognition of pedestrian in different driving and light conditions. The introductory part will be devoted to basic theoretical knowledge. The attention is focused on safety measures to prevent accidents between pedestrians and vehicles. The main part will be devoted to the pedestrian´s visibility from the driver´s point of view during reduced visibility on roads in darkness. The practical part of this work summarizes the results of the experiment using the selected vehicle and chosen participants. During this experiment, the distance necessary for detection, recognition and identification of the pedestrian will be measured, to stop the vehicle safety in time or to avoid an obstacle on the road.

Object detection in video using neural networks and Android application
Mikulec, Vojtěch ; Kiac, Martin (referee) ; Myška, Vojtěch (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the implementation of functional solution for classifying road users using mobile device with Android operating system. The goal is to create Android application which classifies vehicles in real time using rear-facing camera and saves timestamps of classification. Testing is performed mostly with own, diversely modificated dataset. Five models are trained and their performance is measured in dependence on hardware. The best classification performance is from pretrained MobileNet model where transfer learning with 6 classes of own dataset is used – 62,33 %. The results are summarized and a method for faster and more accurate traffic analysis is proposed.
Computational Model and Analysis of Vehicle Driving Dynamics
Mrázek, František ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the creation of a computational model and analysis of vehicle dynamics in connection with the principles and rules that are closely related to vehicle dynamics. We will use the key physical phenomena related to the driving dynamics of the model vehicle, suitable for modeling and analysis. The model will demonstrate the driving dynamics of vehicles in several appropriately selected situations and creates the possibility to compare the results with data obtained from freely available publications and tests.
Detection, Tracking and Classification of Vehicles
Vopálenský, Radek ; Sochor, Jakub (referee) ; Juránek, Roman (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is to design and implement a system for the detection, tracking and classification of vehicles from streams or records from traffic cameras in language C++. The system runs on the platform Robot Operating System and uses the OpenCV, FFmpeg, TensorFlow and Keras libraries. For detection cascade classifier is used, for tracking Kalman filter and for classification of the convolutional neural network. Out of a total of 627 cars, 479 were tracked correctly. From this number 458 were classified (trucks or lorries not included). The resulting system can be used for traffic analysis.
Vývoj v oblasti elektronických systémů automobilů a jejich diagnostika
Šenk, Vladislav
The topic of this bachelor's thesis is the development in the field of electronic systems and their diagnostics. In the first part, the work is focused on ADAS assistance systems, where individual sensors used by assistance systems are described. Furthermore, their basic division is presented here, followed by a description of the individual assistance systems. The following section is focused on the occurrence of artificial intelligence in automobiles. Definitions, development and learning strategies are provided here. Diagnostic systems are presented in the third chapter. The chapter ends with the application of artificial intelligence as a diagnostic system. The next chapter describes the electrical installation and describes the types of wiring systems. The last chapter is devoted to autonomous systems, whether they are in use today or systems that have their own text summaries but the technology for them has not been developed. This chapter also covers environmental and driver monitoring and achieving minimal risk.
Economic aspects of the traffic situation and driver behaviour
VLACHOVÁ, Pavlína
The bachelor thesis deals with roundabout rules and calculates the cost of waiting when entering a roundabout. It also focuses mainly on people entering and exiting the roundabout. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts related to traffic, driver behaviour and roundabouts. The practical part itself consists of an introduction to the city Tábor and the three roundabouts located there, which is one of the most important parts of this bachelor thesis. For the purpose of the evaluation of the thesis it was necessary to obtain records of the roundabouts. As a next step, an evaluation of where the some freely available traffic census data from the Directorate of Roads and Motorways from the year 2020, and together with the data from the video recordings of the roundabouts, the formulas are used to calculate the total actual and societal costs. At the end of the work it was possible improvement measures in the form of road markings were identified and then, together with the social costs, it was assessed whether the acquisition of traffic signs would be worthwhile.
The Purchase Decision Making Process of Durable Goods
Kučaba, Martin ; Remr, Jiří (advisor) ; Tuček, Milan (referee)
This bachelor thesis examines the decision-making process of purchasing durable goods, aiming to explore how a consumer in the purchasing process is influenced by his/her primary social groups. This thesis also looks at what are the specific influences of individual members, and what kind of roles these members have. At the same time, it examines the sentiment towards e-mobility in the buyer's social environment. The practical part of the thesis itself is based on qualitative research in which six interviews with EV owners were conducted. During the interviews, the respondents were retrospectively coming back to their past purchasing experiences. The transcripts of the interviews were then analysed using the open coding method, which allowed to make some remarkable findings. The results of this study show the changing influence of the primary social group on consumers at different stages of the purchase process. The tendency of buyers to selectively filter only the positive comments was also revealed, especially at the beginning of the car purchase decision process. The main findings of this thesis point out the undoubted influence of partners on the purchase process. Results also capture a significant difference between the influence of the family of procreation and family of orientation on the...
Cars as sources of polluting substances and greenhouse gases in the light of legislation
Vodička, Jiří ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee)
Submitted thesis focuses on a topic which cannot be described as classical legal topic in the Czech Republic. Nevertheless, in times of climate change and general need of shift to zero emission transportation and sustainable development of our society, this topic is very much needed. The thesis provides a general framework of type approval legislation of new vehicles of the EU and national legal system with an emphasis on test cycles such as WLTP and RDE. The thesis analyses Euro emission norms which define thresholds for polluting substances from exhaust fumes and at the same time analyses union legal regulation of CO2 emissions from new vehicles. To fully develop zero emission transportation, it is necessary to have sufficient corresponding infrastructure (e.g. charging stations). Because of this dissertation focuses on legislation concerning alternative infrastructure and selected alternative fuels. The thesis also analyses specific legal instruments (direct and indirect) which could be used as tools for the development of zero emission transportation and for improvement of air quality, especially in urban areas. Within indirect legal instruments, state aid and other financial incentives which can promote the development of zero emission transport are analysed. Direct legal instruments such as...
